Pink Jeepney vs SwissTransfer

SwissTransfer keeps a file close. Pink Jeepney is trying to let it leave.

The upload is the easy part. Everyone can build an upload. The product is what the file does after that.

SwissTransfer is Infomaniak’s free booth. No paid tier. The company makes money on other products and leaves this one alone.

What SwissTransfer is actually for

Fifty gigabytes, Switzerland, no account, no ads. For a free send, that is the grown-up offer.

If the file only needed one trip, a home for it is a strange gift.

Up to 50 GB a transfer. You pick 1, 7, 15, or 30 days. The 30-day option asks you to confirm around day 12 or the files go early. There is a cap on downloads and on how many transfers an IP can open in an hour. No account.

There isn’t a paid SwissTransfer. If you outgrow it, you outgrow it.

Where it gets awkward

No dashboard, no brand on the page, no one to call when a client says the link looks unfamiliar. The download cap can surprise a producer who forwarded the URL to a whole crew.

Read the row you care about and ignore the rest. Most people only have one complaint. Size, or time, or the account.

What I would do

I would stay with SwissTransfer if you want the largest honest free transfer and you do not need a logo, a password story, or a receipt.

I would use Pink Jeepney when I want a delivery with a checkout: one link, a sentence on the ticket, a zip if I sent a pile, and a burn switch if one download should be the end. Free is 2 GB for 7 days, three times a month. Past that the plans are $9, $24, and $59.

If you will still want the file in their account next year, you wanted a drive. If you wanted it gone after they took it, you wanted a transfer.
