Privacy

Pink Jeepney is run by David Krug from Manila. This page says what the service holds, and for how long. It is a handoff for files, not an ad network and not a vault.

An account

If you create an account, we keep your email, the name you give, a handle if you claim one, and your plan. The password is stored as a hash. We do not keep the password itself.

A session cookie named pj_session keeps you logged in. It lasts 30 days, it is HttpOnly, and it is not used to follow you around the web. Logging out clears it.

A send

When you send a file we keep:

• The file, so the person with the link can download it.
• A note, if you wrote one.
• An email address, if you asked us to mail the link.
• A password hash, on a paid plan, if you locked the link. The password is not part of the URL.

The files are not end-to-end encrypted. A password locks the link. It does not make Pink Jeepney unable to see the file. We do not scan what you upload.

Anyone with the link can open it until it expires, unless a password is set. Treat the link like the file.

How long a file stays

A file leaves when its stay ends, when you burn it, or after the first download if you chose burn after download. Free stays 7 days. Personal stays 30. Professional stays 90. Business can stay a year. A Tricycle room, its files, its notes, and its chat are cleared after 12 hours, or sooner if the person who opened the room clears it.

The account stays until you ask for it to be deleted. Write david@pinkjeepney.com and say which address. David deletes the account and the files still attached to it.

Money

Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Stripe handles the card. Pink Jeepney keeps a customer id so the plan can be matched to the account. We do not store the card number.

A public link you ask us to fetch

If you paste a public Drive, Dropbox, or other URL, we fetch that file once and make a Pink Jeepney send. We do not sign into that account, and we do not ask for its password.

Who else sees it

The service runs on Cloudflare: the site, the database, the file bucket, and the mail. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

If the law requires a disclosure, or if a file is being used to harm someone, David may share the minimum needed to deal with that. That is rare, and it is not a product feature.

Children

Pink Jeepney is not for children. Do not make an account for a child, and do not send a child’s private records here as if this were a clinic.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
