How does Send Anywhere work
Send Anywhere, explained as a booth with a policy, not as a miracle.

There is no trick. You upload a file. You get a link. You send the link the way you already talk to the person. Everything people argue about is policy.
What Send Anywhere decided
Send Anywhere is the six-digit code. Two devices, a number, the file moves. There is also a link if the other person is not sitting there.
The mechanism is fine. The product is the afterwards.
Links are often cited around 10 GB. The magic is the code, which feels like handing someone a key across a table.
Paid removes friction and stretches what the free app nickels-and-dimes.
The policy, not the magic
| Send Anywhere | |
|---|---|
| Free size | About 10 GB by link |
| Free expiry | A code, then it’s gone |
| Account to send | No |
| Password | Not the point |
| The top end | Your two devices |
Why you would like it, and why you might not
Phone to laptop, in the same room or not, is the job it actually loves.
A code expires in your head. It is a brilliant trick for one file and a clumsy archive for a client relationship.
If you dislike the policy, a smoother upload will not save you. The mechanism has been fine for years. The product is the afterwards.
