How to send files from iPhone

On an iPhone, the Files app or the share sheet is the whole interface. Open the transfer site in Safari, or share the file into it, and do not let iCloud be the only copy you meant to hand over.

Stop using the letter slot

Email will pretend to help and then bounce. A shared drive will succeed and then never leave. A transfer is the third thing: a link with a clock.

A link with a clock beats a folder with no ending.

Do this

If the file is a video from Photos, export the actual file first. A shared Photos link is a different product, with a different kind of forever.

When this is the wrong tool
