Dropbox Transfer alternatives
Other ways to do what you wanted from Dropbox Transfer, including the reasons to stay.

Searching for an alternative usually means you liked the idea and got tired of the terms. That is a fair mood. It is not a reason to grab the next logo.
What you’re walking away from
Dropbox Transfer is Dropbox admitting that a shared folder is the wrong shape for a delivery. On a basic Dropbox account the transfer ceiling is low. Sources argue over the exact free number because the plan changed; what does not change is that the interesting limits are paid.
An alternative is a different ending, not a louder logo.
You want the driveway without renting the building.
A list I would actually send
| If this is the real problem | Use this |
|---|---|
| The file is huge and you will not pay | SwissTransfer. 50 GB, no account. |
| You refuse a cap and can wait | Smash. Big free sends sit in a queue. |
| The host must not be able to read it | Wormhole or Tresorit Send. |
| You ship terabytes for a living | MASV. You pay for the weight. |
| It’s your phone and your laptop | Send Anywhere, or a cable. |
| It’s a delivery, and it should end | Pink Jeepney. |
Notice the list is sorted by problem, not by popularity. Popularity is how you end up back where you started, with a new color.
The reason to stay
If Dropbox Transfer is already paid for and your team is fluent in it, leaving is a tax. Pay it only when the afterwards bothers you: the link that lives too long, the account the client refused, the file that was never supposed to become a folder.
An alternative is a different ending. If you wanted the same ending with a louder coat of paint, save yourself the afternoon.
